snottycat asked: (1) So, singer to singer, it takes time to get back to where you once were (in singing) if you haven't sang for a while? Kind of like dance? And if you could tell me why that is (why it takes time to get to where ones voice once was.) The reason I'm asking is because I use to take singing lessons (like you I guess!), but the teacher was really mean to me, and I was inexperienced at the time so I didn't know it. (I had to add the next part in a second message, sorry)

Yes, a bit like dance. Singing is quite physical; you must use your whole body. However, if you do not use the muscles you need to sing (diaphragm, face, palate, etc.) for a while, it take a bit of time to warm up. It is the same for the voice. In classical singing, the technique is quite different from the one you use when talking, and it also take some time to come back if you do not practice.
